What is the Battery Replacement benefit and how does it help DriveClub members?
DriveClub's Battery Replacement benefit provides a $100 credit toward replacement of a failed battery, with a maximum of one use per 12-month membership period. It does not apply if the battery replacement is in conjunction with or due to another repair.
How do I use the Battery Replacement benefit?
This benefit reimburses up to $100 toward the cost of a replacement battery. After replacing your battery, call the toll-free number available through your DriveClub member dashboard within 45 days of the service date. You'll need the invoice and your paid receipt.
Does this benefit cover labor for battery installation?
Yes. The $100 reimbursement can be applied to labor for installation of the replacement battery. Battery-only purchases at auto parts stores where you install the battery yourself also qualify.
Can I use this benefit more than once a year?
This benefit provides a maximum of one $100 credit per 12-month membership period. If your battery were to fail again within the same membership year, you would be responsible for the full replacement cost.
What if the battery costs more than $100?
DriveClub covers up to $100. Any amount above that is your responsibility.
Does this benefit work if I use roadside assistance for a jump first?
Yes. Roadside assistance for a jump start and the battery replacement benefit are separate. You can use roadside to get started and then use your battery credit for a replacement.
Which DriveClub membership plan includes the Battery Replacement benefit?
The Battery Replacement benefit is included in the DriveClub Elite membership plan. The Essentials and Advantage plans do not include this benefit.
