When your covered vehicle is reported stolen, DriveClub's Auto Theft Reward Program pays a $5,000 reward for information provided to a law enforcement agency that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone who steals your covered vehicle. This financial incentive encourages the public and informants to come forward with information about the crime.

No. The $5,000 reward is paid to the qualifying tipster whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who perpetrated the theft. It is not an insurance payment or cash benefit to you as the member. For financial protection after a theft, your auto insurance policy is the appropriate coverage.

The DriveClub member, their family members, and law enforcement personnel are not eligible for this reward, and the reward does not cover loss from vandalism or stolen contents. Auto theft reward benefit claims are limited to one during the entire membership period. This benefit is not available to Tennessee or Utah residents.

No. The reward program increases the likelihood of tips coming in but cannot guarantee apprehension of the perpetrator or recovery of the vehicle. Less than 60% of stolen vehicles are recovered nationally. The reward is a meaningful incentive, not a guarantee.
