Does the $55 per full synthetic oil change cover the full cost of the oil change?
Full synthetic oil changes can cost anywhere from $65 to $125, depending on the provider. DriveClub covers up to $55 per full synthetic oil change, while the member is responsible for any amount above $55.
What oil types are covered?
The Oil Changes Plus benefit covers reimbursements for standard oil changes (up to $40 per service), full synthetic or synthetic blends (up to $55 per service), or diesel and V8 (up to $55 per service).
How is the Oil Changes Plus benefit different from the Annual Oil Changes benefit?
The Oil Changes Plus benefit (included with the Elite membership plan) covers up to three oil changes per year and reimburses a maximum of either $40 or $55 per oil change, depending on the oil type. The Annual Oil Changes benefit (included with the Advantage membership plan) covers one oil change per year and reimburses up to $100, irrespective of the oil type. In addition, the Annual Oil Changes benefit is redeemable only after 90 days of DriveClub membership, while the Oil Changes Plus benefit can be used immediately.
Can I use any auto maintenance or repair shop or only DriveClub partners?
You can have your oil change done at any licensed auto maintenance or repair shop. You'll need your invoice and paid receipt for reimbursement and should submit your claim within 45 days of the service date.
Do unused oil changes roll over to the next year?
No. The benefit resets at the beginning of each year of membership.
Which DriveClub membership plan includes the Oil Changes Plus benefit?
The Oil Changes Plus benefit is included in the DriveClub Elite membership plan. The Essentials and Advantage plans do not include this benefit.
