What members say

My mechanic found a small leak during the pressure test. Would never have caught it otherwise. DriveClub paid for the service and the leak repair was cheap — saved me from an overheating engine on the highway.

Frequently asked questions

Important questions. Simple answers.

What does the cooling system maintenance service include?

This benefit gives members up to $40 credit toward cooling system maintenance — including drain/refill, pressure check, hose inspection, belts, clamps, and chassis lube — with a maximum of one use per 12-month membership period.

How often should I flush my coolant?

A coolant flush should typically be performed every five years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, this varies based on your specific vehicle and the type of coolant it uses. Always prioritize your vehicle's Owner's Manual for exact mileage and time intervals. This benefit resets annually so you can stay on schedule.

Does this benefit cover a failing thermostat or water pump?

No. Cooling system component replacements — such as a thermostat, water pump, or radiator — are separate from this benefit.

What if the service reveals a coolant leak?

A pressure test will identify any leaks. Diagnosing the leak is covered under the inspection. Repairs to fix the leak (such as hose replacement) are not included in this benefit.

Can I use this benefit at any mechanic?

This benefit can be used at any licensed mechanic. A DriveClub member making a reimbursement claim should log in to their DriveClub account and do so within 45 days of service.

What if the coolant service costs more than $40?

This benefit covers your reimbursement up to $40. If the service provider charges more, the remaining cost is your responsibility.

Which DriveClub membership plan includes the Cooling System Maintenance benefit?

The Cooling System Maintenance benefit is included in the DriveClub Elite membership plan.
